Meet Our Home Physical Therapy Team

Michael Zagare

PT Michael Zagare graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2006 with his Masters in Physical Therapy. Since that time he has practiced in the area of geriatrics and orthopedics. Michael has always been interested in "hands-on" manual therapy and has taken several advanced courses in techniques such as strain counter strain, primal reflex release, and myofascial release. Michael prides himself in continuing his education in order to bring the best possible physical therapy treatments for his patients. He is currently studying to become a Certified Manual Therapy Specialist. In his free time, Mike enjoys waking up extremely early to go to the gym, good food especially BBQ, and watching his tropical fish.

Melissa Schaub

PT Melissa Schaub graduated from Touro College in 1994 with her Masters of Arts in Physical Therapy. She has practiced in the area of orthopedics for most of her career with a strong emphasis on post operative rehabilitation. She prides herself in her ability to bring a comfortable environment to her patients for a pleasant and successful rehab experience. Melissa is currently preparing to take the exam to become a certified hand therapist. When she is not working, Melissa enjoys family time, biking, walking her two chocolate labs and traveling.

Khairul Pearson

PTA Khairul Pearson earned her degree from Suffolk Community College in 2006. During her education, she interned in nursing home, outpatient, and hospital settings. Extensive training was performed in an outpatient setting, where her manual skills were further developed learning MET and working with sports injuries. She educated athletes to apply sports-specific training. In St. Charles Hospital, her training and post-operative experience was acquired and she is still called upon as needed. With her well rounded background, Khairul also provides home care for patients in need. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, she prides herself in helping patients to get back into their active lifestyles.

We use clinical outcome measures, which help gauge your progress and success. These tools allow us to recognize improvements for patients with endurance, balance, gait, or coordination difficulties which are very common in the geriatric population.

Communication with your doctor is something we feel is a priority in order to help you reach your ultimate goals. Your physician will be kept in continuous contact throughout your entire plan of care. This procedure has been shown to be useful in getting our patients on the right track! Step 2
Complete the forms and return them to us along with a copy of your primary and secondary (if you have one) insurance cards, along with your physical therapy prescription. You can mail it, fax it or email it!
